About Womens Breast Cancer Support
What do I do now?
Critters For The Cure™ (CFTC) is the only women’s cancer 501(c)(3) organization in our nation’s capital to provide immediate emergency funds when women are in need. CFTC supports women's needs that extend beyond screening, diagnosis and medical treatment. Needs that are often just as debilitating as the disease itself: emotional and financial needs.
Financial assistance is provided for unexpected expenses, such as: transportation to treatment, massage therapies, medical and RX co-pays, wigs and prosthetics, as well as rent, groceries, utilities, and even dog walkers.
CFTC also coaches women who are: facing end of life issues, trying to get back into the workforce, suffering from diminished self-esteem, and having trouble coping with their illness. Eighty-five percent (85%) of every dollar donated to CFTC is used to provide financial assistance, emotional support and cancer awareness to women living in MD, VA and the District of Columbia. Requests for assistance are made by physicians, cancer care navigators, and/or by patients themselves.
You can help make a difference, too.
While CFTC would love to accommodate the requests of everyone, there simply aren’t enough funds to meet the demands, especially in today's economy. Your financial support will enable us to extend our reach to many more women in need throughout our community.
“Continue to work with those close to you to strengthen your community and our country.”
